The Guadalajara International Airport Conducts Aircraft Accident Simulation

 

Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco:  In compliance with norms recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization and in accordance with the Airport Law, Part 7: Emergency Planning of the Airport Services Manuel, the Guadalajara International Airport today conducted a live Aircraft Accident Simulation.

 

The goal of this exercise is to evaluate the airport’s Emergency Plan, in conjunction with airlines’ Emergency Plans, to timely assist an air accident on airport terminal operations.

 

The simulation was coordinated by the Guadalajara Airport’s Administration and DGAC’s Local Command and included the participation of various authorities that comprise the Local Committee for Airport Security.

 

This simulation included the participation of 100 volunteers who posed as passengers, family of passengers and general staff.

 

During the event, evaluators and external observers from the Tijuana, Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo airports were also present.
