General communiqué

Staring November 15, 2010 the Puerto Vallarta International Airport will begin asphalt resurfacing work on the airport’s main runway, in addition to taxiways A,B,D and E.

The runway payment will consist of a surface of approximately 139,500 m2, while the taxiway pavement will have a surface of approximately 64,000 m2.

For the realization of this project, the airport will close nightly airport operations from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.  Due to this closure, the airport will emit a NOTAM  notice so that airlines modify their arrival and departure schedules.

It is important to highlight that this project will seek to minimize the effects on the arrival of international passengers to this tourist destination, as beginning in August 2009, the airport has advised airlines to adjust their flight schedules.
