International Airport General Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada or Mexicali International Airport (IATA: MXL, ICAO: MMML) is an airport located in the municipality of Mexicali, Baja California, near the border between the U.S. and Mexico. It is the northernmost airport in Mexico. Occasionally have charter routes to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. Mexicali International Airport is located 20 kilometers east of the city. The current airport surface is 535 hectares; chas a runway 2,600 m long and 45 meters wide with an asphalt concrete surface. It has an operating capacity of 18 operations per hour.


The airport was named in honor of the Mexican political and military, who was governor of Baja California, PRI president and Secretary of the Navy, Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada.
